People & Governance

Governance & Ethics

Our governance structure is overseen by our executive committee, formed by our Director, National and State Surgical Leads and is supported by experienced clinical, research, and operational leadership. Together, they provide strategic direction, regulatory oversight, and accountability to ensure all trials are conducted in accordance with:

  • Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines
  • National and international research ethics standards
  • Applicable regulatory and reporting requirements
  • Participant welfare and informed consent principles

Goals

  1. Partner with national and international colleagues and specialist groups to identify unmet clinical needs and generate high impact research that can change current surgical practice for the better.

2. Foster a culture of on-going research and clinical excellence in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery

3. Develop future plastics surgeons with national and international linkages to support surgical excellence.

4. To (democratise) involvement in research goal setting and optimise the use of resources to achieve high quality, cost-effective healthcare
